NCR Rapid Rail: New efforts are being made to further improve the transportation system in the NCR. This means that the NCR is about to receive a significant transportation boost. Work on the Rapid Rail project in the NCR is set to begin soon, and the cost of this project (NCR Rapid Rail Projects) is estimated to be around ₹15,000 crore. Let's learn more about this in this news.

News (NCR Rapid Rail) To facilitate connectivity between locations in the NCR, work on the Rapid Rail project is now underway. The Rapid Rail will be constructed in the NCR. Its expansion will provide direct connectivity to IGI and Jewar airports. The project is expected to cost around ₹15,000 crore.

Where will the Rapid Rail Corridor start?

The construction of Rapid Rail in NCR will make travel between Gurugram and Noida easier. In fact, the NCR Transport Corporation is working on a new rapid rail line project. Once operational, this rapid rail project will reduce the travel time between the two cities to just 38 minutes.

This rapid rail corridor in NCR will begin at IFFCO Chowk in Gurugram and end at Surajpur in Greater Noida. The advantage of this will be that you can travel between Gurugram and Noida without entering Delhi.

Who will handle the project?

The Haryana Government has been tasked by the NCRTC with preparing a detailed project report for this project. It is reported that this rapid rail corridor will benefit travelers by connecting posh and commercial areas of the NCR.

Estimated cost of the Rapid Rail Project

This new NCR project will directly connect Delhi's IGI Airport to Noida International Airport (Jewar), significantly reducing the time required to change airports. This connectivity will be beneficial for international transit passengers, business travelers, and tourists.

This project will give the NCR a new direction as a better transport hub. According to information, the cost of this rapid rail project could be around ₹15,000 crore. A total of six stations will be included in this rapid rail project's proposed route.

Will cover these areas

NCR's Rapid Rail will begin in Sector 54, Gurugram, and continue to Bata Chowk in Faridabad. Afterward, it will travel through the Sector 85-86 intersection, covering Noida's Sectors 142 and 168, before terminating at Surajpur. Furthermore, Jewar Airport is also rapidly moving towards becoming operational, now directly connected to the Yamuna Expressway.

These cities will also be connected to each other

While the Ballabhgarh link of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has significantly eased access from Haryana and Western India, work is now underway to improve connectivity with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Once this project is complete, cities like Meerut, Palwal, and Sonipat will be directly connected.
