These days, some influencers on social media are touting the benefits of okra water. It's being said that drinking its water helps with weight loss.

Some people are believing it and drinking it, but is it really beneficial? What benefits does okra water have on the body? Does it have any connection to weight loss? We spoke with experts to find out.

Dr. Ajit Jain, Associate Professor at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Delhi, explains that okra water can aid weight loss . It is beneficial in controlling blood sugar.

Eating okra also helps in feeling full. Okra is high in fiber, which slows down digestion and reduces overall calorie intake, but it is not a magic solution.

How it helps in weight loss

Dr. Jain explains that eating okra or drinking its water helps keep you feeling full for a long time, reducing the urge to snack frequently. Okra water is very low in calories, and drinking its water reduces hunger. This helps reduce your eating and helps control your weight.

Dr. Jain says that while okra water is helpful for weight loss, it may not be beneficial for everyone. The reason is that okra water doesn't suit everyone.

Who should not adopt this formula?

People with stomach ailments or indigestion should avoid eating okra or drinking its water. People with high uric acid levels and kidney stones should also avoid consuming okra in any form.

Because it controls sugar levels, okra water is also not good for those with low sugar levels. Therefore, this formula is not suitable for everyone.

It is important to consult a doctor

If you're thinking of losing weight with this, consult your doctor first. Because okra water isn't a magic drink; just drinking it won't lead to weight loss. Diet and exercise are essential for this.
