Josh Hazlewood Ruled Out: Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the first Test of the Ashes series due to a hamstring injury.

The Ashes series between Australia and England begins on November 21st. Hazlewood's absence has added to Australia's difficulties, as he will also be without the services of Pat Cummins and Shaun Abbott for the first Test.

Australia suffered its third such setback

Like Hazlewood , Pat Cummins and Shaun Abbott have also been ruled out due to injury. Cummins is out of the first Ashes Test with a back injury, while Shaun Abbott has a hamstring injury. Simply put, three Australian pacers have been ruled out of the Ashes opener due to injury.

Hazelwood out, this player gets a chance

Hazlewood missed the Sheffield Shield match against Victoria due to a hamstring injury. He subsequently missed the team's trip to Perth for the first Ashes Test . Michael Neser has been included in Hazlewood's place.

Brendan Doggett's chance to debut

With Australia's third pacer ruled out due to injury, Brendan Doggett appears poised to make his debut in the Perth Test. It is expected that Australia may introduce Brendan Doggett as the third pacer alongside Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland.

This will happen for the third time in 11 years

This will be the third time since 2014 that Australia will play a Test match at home without Cummins and Hazlewood. Previously, they played home Tests without them against England in 2021 and against the West Indies in 2022. Fortunately, Australia won both Tests.
