Indian Railways: The number of new user IDs created daily on the IRCTC website has dropped to around 5,000, compared to around 100,000 a day previously, railway officials said on Saturday.
They said that due to a new, stricter system for verifying user identities, the number of new user IDs added daily on the IRCTC website has dropped from around 100,000 to around 5,000.

Helped deactivate fake accounts
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Indian Railways' crackdown on train ticket bookings using fake identities is yielding positive results.
Railway officials stated that these measures have already helped Indian Railways deactivate 30.3 million fake accounts. He added, "Another 27 million user IDs have either been temporarily suspended or identified for suspension based on their suspicious activities."
Instructions for providing local food
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has directed officials to improve the ticketing system so that all passengers can easily book tickets using a valid and genuine user ID.
Furthermore, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has directed officials to provide local cuisine on Vande Bharat trains. Officials stated that local cuisine, reflecting the culture and flavors of those regions, will significantly enhance the passenger experience. They stated that this feature will be gradually expanded to all trains in the future.
