From where to where will this expressway be built?
This new expressway in Uttar Pradesh (UP New Expressway) has been proposed from western Uttar Pradesh to the Nepal border in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The length of this expressway is approximately 750 km.
This expressway has been named the Shamli-Gorakhpur Greenfield Economic Corridor. The cost of this expressway is estimated at ₹35,000 crore.
Instructions for issuing notification gazette in three phases
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is responsible for the construction of this expressway in Uttar Pradesh. NHAI has directed that the Roorkee unit in New Delhi issue a gazette notification in three phases.
In the first of these three phases, a gazette notification listing the Khasra numbers of all tehsils, villages, and farmers is expected to be issued by January 31st of next month.
Drone survey of land completed
A Delhi-based private company has prepared the Shamli-Gorakhpur Expressway DPR for this project. Drone surveys of the land have already been completed.
The NHAI Roorkee PIU wrote to the District Magistrate requesting the appointment of a competent authority. The DM has prepared a report, appointing the ADM Finance and Revenue as the competent authority for the Shamli-Gorakhpur Expressway, and sent it to the Roorkee unit.
According to the DPR of the project, this much will be the cost
An engineer with the NHAI Roorkee unit says that the DPR for this project (UP new projects) worth ₹35,000 crore has been prepared and the notification process has been expedited. This expressway could be completed within the next three years.
According to information, this expressway (UP Expressway Projects) will connect to five new expressways. These expressways include the Ganga Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Ambala-Shamli Expressway, Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, and Lucknow-Gorakhpur Expressway.
The construction of this expressway will ease travel to Delhi, Dehradun, and Mussoorie, and will also benefit residents living along the banks of the Ganges.
So many districts and tehsils will be included
The Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway is going to pass through 22 districts. In those 22 districts, Bijnor, Amroha, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Shamli have been included from the western UP side and the districts included from the central UP side are Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lucknow. Along with this, the districts of Bahraich, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur are included from the eastern UP side. Rampur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sambhal have been included as other districts.
The tehsils that will be included for the construction of this expressway (Expressway Updates) include Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Bahraich, Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Badaun, Rampur, Moradabad, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Bijnor, Amroha, Meerut, Saharanpur, Sambhal, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli.
