The phone is part of the HMD Secure division, which focuses on secure and reliable mobile solutions. The Terra M comes with military-grade ruggedness, a 10-day battery, and advanced MDM support. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but companies can contact the HMD Secure team.
HMD Terra M availability
The HMD Terra M is specifically designed for teams working in harsh environments and will be available from Q1 2026 through HMD Secure and select partners.
According to the company's press release, pricing and availability details in different regions will be shared later and may vary by country. The launch of the Terra M expands the HMD Secure lineup, which previously included the European-made HMD Ivalo XE.

The Terra M features military-grade MIL-STD-810H certification, along with IP68 and IP69K ratings, making it water, dust, and drops up to 1.8 meters resistant.
The phone features a 2.8-inch glove-friendly touchscreen panel that allows for use on work sites even while wearing gloves. Additionally, features like a high-output loudspeaker, push-to-talk, and an emergency key make it even more useful for field operations.
Connectivity and performance
The phone comes with 4G, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, hotspot mode, NFC, dual SIM, and eSIM support, making it ideal for enterprise and deployment-level needs. It's powered by Qualcomm's Dragonwing QCM2290 chipset and runs on a custom enterprise-ready operating system.
Mobile Device Management (MDM) support is also included, allowing companies to conduct secure deployments at scale. Apps like Zello, Threema, OsmAnd, Lyfo, and SOTI MobiControl are preloaded based on customer requirements.
Battery, security updates, and accessories
HMD claims the Terra M's 2,510mAh battery can deliver up to 10 days of standby time, a significant advantage for shift-based teams.
The company is promising quarterly security updates for five years, ensuring the device remains secure over the long term. The company stated that full specifications for this model will be released in January 2026.
